Weekly Update
It has started to feel more spring-like over the last week with some sunshine. What a wonderful way to finish last week with the FONS Easter Fayre on Friday. Thank you to everyone for attending and the fabulous FONS committee and helpers for organising and running events on the day.
Last week, Willow Class enjoyed an Easter themed day on Tuesday with Reception friends who visited from West Chinnock. On the same day, Birch Class enjoyed the trip to the Tiverton Museum (see pictures). They were joined by school bear David who went on his first ever school trip. Hazel Class impressed with their Geography as they build knowledge and understanding of the mountain ranges in the UK while Rowan class continued their excellent dark fairy tales using exciting vocabulary and other authorial techniques to bring their writing to life.
In other news, a netball squad travelled to Sherborne Prep to play in a tournament, plus it was the final cross-country race of this season. Well done to pupils who have taken part throughout and to parents and staff for facilitating these events.
There is lots in store this week with the Celebration Awards later today, Music and Drama Club performance, Junior Dance Performance in Yeovil on Tuesday and the Easter Service and Bonnet Parade on Wednesday.
Finally, huge congratulations and thank you from all of us to Miss Brown on successfully completing the Yeovil half marathon yesterday. She has certainly demonstrated this half-term’s value of Perseverance and raised nearly £500 for the schools’ new cross-country kit! It’s not too late to donate https://gofund.me/31b671f4
Wishing you all a good week and a restful Easter break. Mr Caswell
