Weekly update
Welcome back to school for a new half-term. Hopefully children have enjoyed a restful few days making the most of the sunny weather and time off school to recharge their batteries.
Our value this half-term is Thankfulness - we’ll be encouraging pupils to take time to notice, acknowledge and take stock of things to be grateful for including friends and family.
Today, on World Environment Day, it’s an opportunity to say “thankyou” for the world and to consider how we can better look after it. The day encourages awareness and action for the protection of the environment. The focus this year is on stopping plastic pollution and we’re looking forward to finding out what ideas pupils have for reducing the impact of plastics at school.
This half-term, we have some important transitions. For Year 6, this means time getting to know their secondary school and taking part in end of term events. We also look forward to welcoming new reception pupils to Norton and for all year groups to have a taster in the next year group up. Communication about classes and teachers next year will follow before the end of term.
Please keep an eye on the upcoming dates which are updated each week.
A polite reminder for children to leave tyres, blocks & play equipment before and after school. These are for use during school hours - thank you.
