Weekly Update

Acorn class have been writing biographies on important historical figures while our pupils in Oak class have been exploring conscription to war through history. On Tuesday, we welcomed Carymoor visitor Gary to school who spoke about ways to reduce our impact on the environment. A huge well done to all children who persevered and took part in the first crosscountry round of the year. For Year R and 1 parents please remember the phonics information session is this Tuesday after school. We are looking forward to celebrating our Harvest service with you this Thursday in the church from 2pm. A polite reminder for children to bring a donation of dried or tinned goods for the Lord’s Larder. We are also looking for volunteers who would kindly take the donations to the Lord’s larder in Yeovil (Mon to Fri 10am - 12pm) or to the food bank in Crewkerne (Weds and Fri 8:30-2pm) please let the school office know if you can help. Next week we hope to hold our first parent forum of the year. A poster will be sent out explaining who to get in touch with. Wishing you all a positive week and thank you to those who have submitted their entry to the photo contest – please keep them coming! Mr Caswell
